Today marks a significant milestone for frontend development.

May 29th is the 10th anniversary of React, a project that has transformed the web industry and reshaped the way we build digital experiences.

A huge congratulations and thank you to the team at Meta, who through their stewardship and relentless innovation, have created and maintained one of the most successful open source projects of all time.

A decade of innovation

React's inception a decade ago set in motion a cascade of innovation that continues to shape the future of web and native user interfaces.

The true strength of React lies in its versatility. React is more than just a library; it's a platform that powers countless pieces of software across the web and beyond. It’s helped raise the bar for user interface development for the entire industry.

While Vercel supports developers on their journey to build better web experiences, regardless of the tech they use, React holds a special place in our heart. It has shaped our understanding of UI, inspired the creation of Next.js, and even today, continues to inspire us to push boundaries and create better web experiences.

<ThankYou />

As we celebrate this milestone, we'd like to extend a special thank you to the individuals who have been integral to React's journey, and countless others who have contributed to React's growth and success over the years, we express our heartfelt gratitude.

Here's to a decade of React - a decade of innovation, learning, and transformation. As we look forward to what the next decade brings, we do so with excitement and anticipation for the next generation of innovation.

To celebrate React's 10th anniversary, watch Delba de Oliveira (Senior Developer Advocate at Vercel) host a roundtable discussion on React, Server Components, and more with Andrew Clark and Sebastian Markbåge from the React core team.
