Today, AWS Amplify Hosting announces Next.js 12 and 13 support, including middleware, incremental static regeneration (ISR), and image optimization. With this release, AWS Amplify Hosting offers fully managed CI/CD deployments and hosting for server-side rendered (SSR) apps built using Next.js and static web apps.

In addition to supporting more Next.js features, AWS Amplify Hosting improves the experience of running Next.js apps on AWS:

  1. Next.js apps deploy at least 3x faster, helping developers deliver changes to production faster.
  2. Server-side logs are delivered to Amazon CloudWatch, allowing teams to observe, monitor and troubleshoot their apps.
  3. Fully managed infrastructure reduces operational overhead for development teams, with fewer resources to manage in their AWS account.

AWS Amplify Hosting and its improved support for Next.js hosting is generally available in the following 19 AWS Regions: US East (Ohio), US East (N. Virginia), US West (N. California), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Hong Kong), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Asia Pacific (Seoul), Asia Pacific (Mumbai), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Canada (Central), Europe (Frankfurt), Europe (Stockholm), Europe (Milan), Europe (Ireland), Europe (London), Europe (Paris), Middle East (Bahrain) and South America (São Paulo).
